We have all just received an email from GenCon confirming next year is on. The QG and LS admin teams are going to work hard to make GenCon 2010 a much bigger and better LAN than this year and hope to secure more sponsors to increase the prize pool.

Dates Set and Locked In!

Its official! The dates for the Gen Con™ Australia 2010 show have been locked in as being the 23-26 September 2010 at the Brisbane Convention & Entertainment Centre, South Bank, Brisbane.

This year we found that being at the start of holidays was great, but some enthusiastic attendees missed out on the Friday due to work and other commitments. As a result, we have decided to move the show into the middle of the Queensland School Holidays. This has a double benefit for our inter-state attendees as the show will now be at the start of the school holidays for NSW and SA.

The show will remain as a three day Expo, and four day games convention. The Thursday will act as our preview night with tournaments and games a plenty planned to start at 1.00pm and go through till midnight. So if you are a keen gamer, and want to get your fix before the main show starts, then the Thursday "Games Night" is the place for you.
